Gentle, Corrective Care for Lasting Relief

Back pain is one of the most common health challenges in the U.S., but for many, the real frustration comes when relief doesn’t last. Medications, physical therapy, or traditional chiropractic adjustments may provide temporary comfort, yet the pain often returns. At Friends & Family Spinal Care, we specialize in addressing back pain at its source through precise, upper cervical chiropractic care.

Our patients often come to us after trying other solutions for years. They’re tired of short-term fixes and are ready for lasting results. By correcting the relationship between the head, neck, and spine, we restore balance to the entire body, helping back pain sufferers finally break the cycle.

Who Is Back Pain Chiropractic Care For?

Not every approach works for every patient, but upper cervical chiropractic has helped thousands of people with stubborn back pain. If any of the following descriptions apply to you, our care may be the right fit.

People with chronic or recurring back pain. Patients with disc problems, sciatica, or spinal stenosis. Those who have tried other treatments without success. Families seeking safe, gentle care for all ages. Anyone ready for long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.

How Upper Cervical Care Relieves Back Pain

Most treatments focus only on where the pain shows up, but back pain often begins higher up in the spine. Misalignments at the top vertebrae create a chain reaction of imbalance that strains muscles, irritates nerves, and stresses discs. Correcting that alignment allows the entire spine to heal.

With NUCCA care, patients experience:

Friends & Family vs. Traditional Chiropractors

Patients often ask how our approach compares to conventional chiropractic care. The most significant difference is that we focus on the cause of imbalance rather than chasing symptoms. This table highlights what makes Friends & Family Spinal Care unique:

Traditional Chiropractors Friends & Family Spinal Care (NUCCA)
Adjustment Style Forceful cracking or twisting Gentle, precise, painless corrections
Focus Symptom relief in the area of pain Correcting spinal balance from the top down
Frequency Often, multiple adjustments each week Fewer visits with longer-lasting corrections
Assessment Limited physical exam Full neurological, structural, and imaging analysis
Back Pain Approach Treats local tension and discomfort Corrects the source of misalignment affecting the entire spine

Types of Back Pain We Help

Back pain is not one-size-fits-all. Some patients experience sharp sciatica, while others struggle with stiffness or tension related to their posture. Our doctors tailor each plan to the specific type of pain you’re experiencing.

Type of Back Pain How We Address It
Lower back pain Correcting spinal balance decreases nerve irritation and disc stress.
Sciatica and radiating pain Restores proper alignment, reducing pressure on sciatic nerve pathways.
Mid-back stiffness Improves posture and relieves chronic muscle tension.
Herniated or bulging discs Reduces mechanical strain, allowing discs to stabilize and heal.
Postural strain Corrects imbalances caused by sitting, standing, or repetitive motions.
Spinal stenosis discomfort Decreases stress on narrowed spinal spaces, easing pain and mobility limits.

Our Process: From Assessment to Results

We believe that a step-by-step approach builds trust and ensures lasting results. Each stage of care is designed to uncover the root cause of your back pain and create a clear plan forward.

  1. Consultation: We take the time to listen to your history and understand how back pain affects your life.
  2. Structural & Functional Assessment: A thorough evaluation of posture and spinal balance reveals how misalignments are contributing to your pain.
  3. Neurological Testing: Scans and thermography measure how nerves are functioning and where stress is building.
  4. 3D Imaging: If needed, we capture precise X-rays of the upper cervical spine to calculate exact corrections.
  5. Gentle Correction: Using NUCCA techniques, we restore spinal alignment without twisting or cracking.
  6. Report of Findings: We explain your results clearly so you know exactly what’s happening and how we can help.
  7. Ongoing Support: Follow-up visits focus on stability rather than constant re-adjustment. Our goal is long-term relief.

Best Practices in Back Pain Care

Is NUCCA care safe for people with severe back pain?

Yes. Adjustments are gentle, precise, and designed to avoid strain, even for patients with herniated discs or stenosis.

How long will it take to see results?

Many patients notice improvements after their first few corrections. Long-term stability builds with continued care.

Do you only treat back pain?

While back pain is a common condition we help with, our care also benefits headaches, vertigo, and other neurological conditions.

You Have Been Adjusted a Hundred Times. Why Has It Never Held?

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED A HUNDRED TIMES AND STILL HURT

Relief that lasts four days is not a correction. It is a rental. There is a structural reason your body keeps pulling back to the place that hurts, and until someone measures it, nothing changes.

The Reason Relief Keeps Expiring

Things that hold have structure.

Every treatment you have tried worked on the symptom. The muscle that was tight. The joint that was stuck. The nerve that was screaming. And each one worked, right up until your body pulled back to the position it was in before you walked in.

Because the position never changed.

You have been treated by good people who never measured your structure, because measuring it takes an instrument almost no one owns and training almost no one has. Not their fault. It just means the actual question never got asked.

You cannot correct what nobody has measured. Everything else is maintenance.

Your MRI Was Not Wrong. It Was Answering a Different Question.

An MRI is built to find disease. Tumors. Herniations. Ruptures. The things that need a surgeon.

When yours came back clean, it did its job perfectly. It told you that you do not have the thing it was designed to find.

But it was never built to measure how your head sits on top of your neck. By how many degrees. Or how that position interferes with the nerves running through it.

Different question. Different instruments. Different results.

What we measure

The One Thing Almost No One Measures

I am Dr. Justin Brown, founder of Atlinea.

Our doctors correct the alignment at the very top of your spine, and we do it with the specific precision required to return your body to the position it needs to be in to heal the way it was designed to.

That is the entire focus. Not a menu of services. One correction, measured and made properly.

Where This Actually Starts

It is called The Comprehensive. Sixty minutes, one on one with one of our doctors, and it runs in three parts.

01. We Listen

You talk. We listen. Your whole history, everything you have tried, what it has cost you, and what you have given up because of it. Not a five minute intake. An actual conversation about your specific problem.

02. We Learn

Then we measure what nobody has measured.

What is working. What is not. And why.

03. We Lead

You leave knowing the root cause, why this has never held, and exactly what correcting it would take. In plain language, with your own numbers in front of you.

Sixty minutes to finally get the answer that years of appointments never gave you.

This is what The Comprehensive actually looks like: a full structural exam, not a quick adjustment.

If We Cannot Correct It, We Will Tell You On Day One

Here is our promise.

If our doctors do not find a structural cause that we can correct, they will tell you on day one, and we will not take you on as a patient.

No treatment plan. No package. No follow up call three days later.

You leave with the truth and a direction. Not a sales pitch.

We would rather lose the patient than sell you another rental.

What It Costs To Find Out

Before You Book

Is this just a chiropractor?

Our doctors correct one specific thing: the alignment at the top of your spine. That is a narrower and more measured discipline than general adjusting, and it starts with instruments rather than hands. If you have been adjusted before and it did not hold, this is the reason we start with a measurement instead of a table.

Because sixty minutes of a doctor’s time is real, and a free appointment is an appointment people do not show up for. The $45 reserves the slot. If you come in and decide not to move forward, you get it back.

Then we tell you on day one and we do not take you on as a patient. You leave with what we measured and a direction to take it.

That depends entirely on what we find, and anyone who quotes you a timeline before measuring you is guessing. You will get a specific answer at the end of your Comprehensive, based on your own numbers.

Possibly. If your Comprehensive points to a structural cause, imaging is the next step, and your $45 is credited toward it.
