Correct the Misalignment Driving Pain Down Your Leg

Friends & Family Spinal Care ranks as the best sciatica chiropractor in Parkland because our NUCCA doctors correct the upper cervical misalignment that tilts your pelvis and loads the sciatic nerve, then measure the change on your own images before you leave. Dr. Justin Brown opened this practice in 2008 and built the only multi-doctor NUCCA team in South Florida, five certified doctors inside a worldwide group of roughly 300 NUCCA practices.

Area patients rate our care 4.8 stars across 520+ Google reviews, and residents of Pine Tree Estates and Heron Bay reach our door in about ten minutes down University Drive. Most arrive after months of injections left the leg pain untouched.

Why Parkland Patients Choose Friends & Family Spinal Care

Parkland patients often reach us after trying injections, orthopedic care, or general chiropractic without lasting relief. Our NUCCA doctors measure the structural imbalance pulling on the sciatic nerve and correct the upper cervical misalignment that can drive pelvic tilt and uneven loading through the lower spine.

Residents of Pine Tree Estates, Heron Bay, and surrounding Parkland communities are about ten minutes from our Coral Springs office down University Drive, making specialized NUCCA care accessible without giving up an entire workday.

What Parkland Sciatica Patients Want How Friends & Family Spinal Delivers It All Other Providers
Proof the leg pain has a fixable cause We show you the tilt in degrees on your own films, then re-image after your first correction so you compare two pictures. Orthopedic offices point at a disc on an MRI and build a six-week plan around that guess.
Relief without force near an inflamed nerve We hold light contact below your ear for seconds, and nothing in your lower back rotates or pops. General chiropractors twist the lumbar spine that already hurts, which spikes leg pain for days.
An answer before injections or surgery We finish testing on visit one and tell you at the report of findings whether we can correct your case. Pain clinics schedule epidural series that quiet the nerve for weeks and leave the pelvic tilt in place.
Care that survives a 32-minute commute We open Saturdays and keep corrective visits to minutes, so one drive never costs you a workday. Weekday-only hours pull Parkland patients out of the office for every appointment.
Doctors who have measured thousands of pelvises Five NUCCA doctors review your imaging together before anyone touches your neck. Solo practices hand you one opinion and no second read of your films.

Helping Parkland Residents Break Free From Sciatica

Parkland workers average 32.5 minutes behind the wheel each way, and that daily commute down the Sawgrass toward Boca Raton can hold the pelvis in a fixed position for more than an hour a day.

A shifted atlas vertebra at the base of the skull can force the body to drop one hip so the eyes stay level. That compensation can increase pressure through the lower spine and sciatic nerve.

Our doctors measure the shift in degrees, correct it with fingertip pressure, and re-scan during the same visit so you can see the structural change.

We specialize in:

Sciatica Care for Different Parkland Lifestyles

Parkland loads the lower back in different ways depending on how you work, train, ride, or spend your weekends.

Type of Patient What We Correct
Sawgrass Commuters Pelvic rotation caused by extended sitting and daily driving toward Boca Raton.
Equestrian Riders Pelvic balance and sacroiliac loading related to repeated riding at Temple Park.
Golfers Rotational restrictions affecting the lumbar spine and hip mechanics.
Pine Tree Estates Homeowners Pelvic imbalance aggravated by lifting, yard work, and repetitive physical activity.
Pine Trails Athletes Hip imbalance and uneven loading caused by lateral movement and pivoting.

Why NUCCA Is Different for Sciatica Care

NUCCA does not twist or manipulate the painful part of your lower back. Instead, our doctors measure the upper cervical alignment that influences how the head, shoulders, pelvis, and legs balance beneath it.

A shifted atlas can create compensation throughout the spine. One hip may drop, one leg may appear functionally shorter, and the lower spine may carry uneven load. NUCCA uses precise measurements and gentle contact below the ear to correct that alignment without rotating the lumbar spine.

Feature NUCCA Chiropractic Traditional Sciatica Care
Assessment Measures structural imbalance in degrees and millimeters. Often focuses primarily on symptoms or the painful lumbar area.
Adjustment Style Light contact below the ear with no lower-back rotation. May involve lumbar manipulation or repeated lower-back adjustments.
Imaging 3D digital X-rays at NUCCA-specific angles. May rely on standard X-rays or MRI findings alone.
Goal Correct the imbalance contributing to uneven pelvic and spinal loading. Reduce pain through medication, injections, exercises, or local treatment.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit pairs a one-on-one doctor consultation with structural imaging and advanced neurological testing. The goal is to measure what is happening before recommending care.

Step What Happens Why It Matters
1. Consultation We review your leg pain, history, prior injections, imaging, and daily triggers. Your symptom pattern helps identify where structural testing should begin.
2. Structural & Neurological Testing We measure pelvic balance, leg length, posture, and neurological function. These measurements identify imbalance that cannot be seen from symptoms alone.
3. 3D Digital X-Rays NUCCA-specific images measure the upper cervical shift. Your correction is calculated from your own anatomy.
4. Report of Findings Your doctor explains whether NUCCA can help and provides your written care plan. You know what was found before committing to treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start care while I wait on an MRI?

Yes. Our exam measures structure and nerve function on day one, so your care starts while radiology catches up. Bring the order and any prior films, and our doctors read them against our own imaging once the study is released.

Does NUCCA correction work after failed back surgery?

Yes. Our contact never reaches the operated level, so fingertip pressure at the base of the skull suits the hardware and fused segments. Our doctors review your surgical report first, then correct the alignment above the fusion your body has compensated around for years.

Should I keep walking or rest the leg?

Keep walking. Motion feeds the disc and drains swelling around the nerve root, so two short walks beat a day on the couch. Your doctor sets your distance at the report of findings and raises it as your alignment holds.

Will one side of my body feel different at first?

Often, yes. Muscles on the shortened side relax at their own pace once the correction lands, because your body has held that tilt for years. Our reassessment scans track change, so you see progress measured rather than guessed.

What happens if you cannot help me?

We tell you at the report of findings and name the specialist who fits your case. Our doctors decline sciatica cases that imaging shows NUCCA correction cannot reach, and you leave with your films and written measurements to hand that provider.

You Have Been Adjusted a Hundred Times. Why Has It Never Held?

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED A HUNDRED TIMES AND STILL HURT

Relief that lasts four days is not a correction. It is a rental. There is a structural reason your body keeps pulling back to the place that hurts, and until someone measures it, nothing changes.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

Most people are aware of the pain-reducing advantages of this remarkable science. Here are other common benefits and specific conditions that we focus on at Friends & Family Spinal Care:

If You Are Reading This, You Have Probably Already Tried:

And somewhere in there, you started wondering if this is just your body now.

It is not.

The Reason Relief Keeps Expiring

Things that hold have structure.

Every treatment you have tried worked on the symptom. The muscle that was tight. The joint that was stuck. The nerve that was screaming. And each one worked, right up until your body pulled back to the position it was in before you walked in.

Because the position never changed.

You have been treated by good people who never measured your structure, because measuring it takes an instrument almost no one owns and training almost no one has. Not their fault. It just means the actual question never got asked.

You cannot correct what nobody has measured. Everything else is maintenance.

Your MRI Was Not Wrong. It Was Answering a Different Question.

An MRI is built to find disease. Tumors. Herniations. Ruptures. The things that need a surgeon.

When yours came back clean, it did its job perfectly. It told you that you do not have the thing it was designed to find.

But it was never built to measure how your head sits on top of your neck. By how many degrees. Or how that position interferes with the nerves running through it.

Different question. Different instruments. Different results.

What we measure

The One Thing Almost No One Measures

I am Dr. Justin Brown, founder of Atlinea.

Our doctors correct the alignment at the very top of your spine, and we do it with the specific precision required to return your body to the position it needs to be in to heal the way it was designed to.

That is the entire focus. Not a menu of services. One correction, measured and made properly.

Where This Actually Starts

It is called The Comprehensive. Sixty minutes, one on one with one of our doctors, and it runs in three parts.

01. We Listen

You talk. We listen. Your whole history, everything you have tried, what it has cost you, and what you have given up because of it. Not a five minute intake. An actual conversation about your specific problem.

02. We Learn

Then we measure what nobody has measured.

What is working. What is not. And why.

03. We Lead

You leave knowing the root cause, why this has never held, and exactly what correcting it would take. In plain language, with your own numbers in front of you.

Sixty minutes to finally get the answer that years of appointments never gave you.

This is what The Comprehensive actually looks like: a full structural exam, not a quick adjustment.

If We Cannot Correct It, We Will Tell You On Day One

Here is our promise.

If our doctors do not find a structural cause that we can correct, they will tell you on day one, and we will not take you on as a patient.

No treatment plan. No package. No follow up call three days later.

You leave with the truth and a direction. Not a sales pitch.

We would rather lose the patient than sell you another rental.

What It Costs To Find Out

Before You Book

Is this just a chiropractor?

Our doctors correct one specific thing: the alignment at the top of your spine. That is a narrower and more measured discipline than general adjusting, and it starts with instruments rather than hands. If you have been adjusted before and it did not hold, this is the reason we start with a measurement instead of a table.

Because sixty minutes of a doctor’s time is real, and a free appointment is an appointment people do not show up for. The $45 reserves the slot. If you come in and decide not to move forward, you get it back.

Then we tell you on day one and we do not take you on as a patient. You leave with what we measured and a direction to take it.

That depends entirely on what we find, and anyone who quotes you a timeline before measuring you is guessing. You will get a specific answer at the end of your Comprehensive, based on your own numbers.

Possibly. If your Comprehensive points to a structural cause, imaging is the next step, and your $45 is credited toward it.
